I’ve used the Citizen Kane theme for Buddypress and WordPress. It is a nice, simplistic theme but I’ve got a problem with that theme where my post title overlaps with the post thumbnail photo on the main page.

Seems that I’m not the only one, as someone else has reported it here and here.

The solution is simple (see below):

  1. Go to your custom.css file (location: /wp-content/themes/citizen-kane/custom.css)
  2. Scroll down to the following code:

.subcontentpost {
width: 190px;
display: inline-block;
float: left;
margin-right: 10px;
margin-bottom: 10px;
height: 120px;

  1. Change the highlighted line to something like 50px.
  2. Save your .css file and refresh your homepage. It should be fine now.

Thanks to Ekine at Buddypress Community for the solution!
